Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory/Laboratory Manager and the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor or designated Lead Medical Technologist the Phlebotomist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with Departmental and Hospital standards of care. Each patient is assessed by appropriate disciplines beginning at the time the patient enters a hospital service and progressing through discharge.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program.
  • Must have a BLS certificate from the American Heart Association.
