The Front Desk Supervisor assists the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, before arrival and during their stay. The role also involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Qualifications- 2-3 years of progressive hotel or related experience;
High School diploma or equivalent required. - College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Strong communication skills and ability to evaluate and decide quickly.
- Ability to work under stress, handle guest disputes, and anticipate needs.
- Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Effective problem-solving and information assimilation skills.
- Ability to understand financial data and perform basic arithmetic.
- Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
- Maintain regular attendance and proper grooming standards.
- Follow safety and operational policies.
- Manage guest relations, reservations, VIP requests, and communication logs.
- Ensure proper operation of front desk systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments and assist in emergency procedures.
- Oversee check-in/out processes, maximize room revenue, and handle guest inquiries.
- Train new staff and participate in meetings.
- Control access to sensitive areas and handle cash securely.
- Represent the hotel professionally and uphold company standards.
