Ameritex is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a CNC Helper Level 2 – Machine Apprentice. This role builds upon general shop labor and transitions into assisting CNC and laser operators directly. The Level 2 Helper adds value by deburring, performing inspections, and supporting setups, making it a stepping stone to becoming an Operator.

We are looking for people with hustle – individuals who work hard, stay busy, and take initiative without waiting to be told.

• Assist CNC, laser, and press brake operators with handling cut and formed parts.
• Deburr, edge-prep, and clean machined parts to meet quality standards.
• Perform basic inspections using tape measures, calipers, and visual checks.
• Organize finished parts by job travelers or tags.
• Stage raw material and consumables for upcoming CNC and laser jobs.
• Assist during setups by prepping tooling and work areas.
• Communicate with operators to ensure smooth part flow.
• Observe machine operation to prepare for Operator Level 1 role.
• Must follow all safety rules, including required PPE for the work area, and be able to safely lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.

• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn CNC/laser processes.
• Ability to use tape measures and basic measuring tools.
• Willingness to train on deburr equipment and inspection techniques.
• Forklift cert preferred.
• Dependable and eager to advance into machine operation.

• 6–12 months of successful performance in deburr, inspection, and machine support.
• Completion of internal training milestones.
• Eligible for promotion to CNC Operator Level 1.

Compensation: $17–$19/hr
