About the RoleThe Book Launch Coordinator plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing successful book launches across every stage of the process—production, pre-launch, and launch. Serving as a central point of connection, this role works closely with internal teams and authors to ensure each title launches on time and with maximum impact. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on managing timelines and campaigns, while also being exceptional at building strong relationships, communicating clearly, and keeping everyone aligned and motivated throughout the launch process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in coordination of all phases of book launches, including pre-launch planning, launch execution, and post-launch follow-up
- Develop and manage detailed launch timelines, checklists, and deliverables
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, operations, and product development to align launch efforts
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for authors during the launch process
- Track launch progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues
- Coordinate launch events, virtual appearances, interviews, or promotional activations as needed
- Monitor launch performance metrics and compile post-launch reports and insights
- Ensure all launches adhere to brand standards and strategic goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Project Management, Event Coordination, Marketing, or a related field
- Preferred experience in event coordination or project management (internships included)
- Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple launches and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Creative problem-solver who can think strategically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Highly creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative, outside-the-box ideas to engage authors’ audiences and bring book launches to life
- Ability to ideate and execute creative launch concepts, promotional moments, and audience engagement strategies that go beyond traditional approaches
- Comfort working with influencers or public-facing partners
- Familiarity with project management tools like Monday
- Strong creative instincts with the ability to spot compelling story angles and audience hooks
- Familiarity with audience engagement strategies
- Ability to interpret performance data or feedback to refine future launch strategies
