Program Manager (North Houston/Conroe/Woodlands)
Girls on the Run Greater Houston is looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Program Manager to join our small but mighty team.
This role is for someone who thrives in the community and knows how to build momentum behind the scenes. The Program Manager works directly with existing sites, coaches, community partners, and girls — while also actively creating new relationships that lead to new sites, new partners, new participants, and new donors
. Growth and stewardship go hand in hand in this role.
The Program Manager is also responsible for invoicing families, preparing coaches and sites for each season, facilitating and supporting coach training, and handling additional program-related tasks as they arise
. At Girls on the Run Greater Houston, the mission belongs to everyone — we pitch in, problem-solve together, and do what it takes to serve girls well.
This is a part-time, hybrid position
. Work is divided between time in the community and in-office days at our Energy Corridor office. You’ll connect with the community and collaborate closely with our team during in-office days. We move fast, adapt quickly, and support each other deeply — and we’re looking for someone who adds to that dynamic.
- Building and strengthening relationships with schools, coaches, community partners, and girls
- Supporting existing program sites while actively growing new ones
- Preparing sites and coaches for each season, including training and onboarding
- Invoicing families and supporting core program operations
- Creating partnerships that expand access and investment in Girls on the Run
- Working comfortably in fast-moving, changing environments
- Balancing independent work with teamwork and shared accountability
We value flexibility and trust our team to manage their time well. Some Saturday work is required
, especially in January and August
, our peak seasons.
Girls on the Run Greater Houston hosts two large 5K events each year
, which require early mornings and long Saturdays
. These days are high-energy, joyful, and deeply meaningful — and they are a core part of how girls experience confidence and accomplishment.
- Passion for youth development and empowerment
- Strong communicator and relationship builder
- Organized, adaptable, and proactive
- Experience with volunteers, schools, or community programs (a plus!)
- Familiarity with Girls on the Run or other girl empowerment programs (a plus!)
- Runner — or someone who genuinely loves movement and being active (a plus!)
