The role is Monday‑Friday, no weekends or holidays, and no call. Conveniently located near I-45, SH 105, and Grand Parkway (SH 99), TxO - Conroe offers easy access for patients across Montgomery County. What does the Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) do?Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, and developmental differences in the patient population, including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assess and thermally manage patient/family needs, and supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Oncology Clinic RN:
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitates clinical operations and patient care:
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient’s chart.
