American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Stroke RN requiring NIH Stroke Scale competency and a TX or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.

• Work on a 24-bed Telemetry/Stroke unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 secretary; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 1:5/6
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to PCU/Med Surg required

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) competency required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry/stroke nursing
• BSN preferred
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

• Perform foley insertions, PIV placement, blood draws, and code stroke initiation as typical unit procedures
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Best suited for team-oriented candidates with strong interpersonal skills
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not considered
