Assignment DurationThis is a 91-week contract position.
Schedule / Shift7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour day shift
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry for our 2 North unit. This unit has 23 beds with a staff of 37, including a charge nurse, nurses, techs, and a unit secretary on each shift. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Candidates with experience in the Expanse EMR and familiarity with admissions and discharges will be prioritized.
Responsibilities- Perform lab draws, IV insertions, and Foley insertions.
- Administer IV fluids and medications, including antibiotics.
- Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians.
- Attend daily huddles and complete required daily charting.
Minimum of one year of acute care experience in a Med/Surg Tele or step-down unit.
Certifications / Licensure- Current BLS certification.
