Quality Manager – Fluid Sealing Industry
We are partnered with a Global Player in the Fluid Sealing Industry. Seeking a Quality Manager to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer‑specific requirements. Reporting to the Plant Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Quality Assurance- Conduct problem‑solving activities to resolve internal and external nonconformances with permanent irreversible corrective action; the main responsibility.
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality‑assurance activities including finished‑goods inspections, audits, testing of raw materials, in‑process materials, quality‑control plans, procedures, and standards. Conduct part inspection: layout, in‑process, final, and receiving using mechanical inspection tools.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Ensure effective integration of the QMS into all operational processes.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
- Act as point of contact for quality‑related customer concerns and complaints.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of incoming materials.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance.
- Problem‑solving experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with measurement systems including CMM and gage R&R studies.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
