Job Overview

Join Target as an On-Demand Guest Advocate (Cashier) for the General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, and Style teams.

As a Guest Advocate, you will provide exceptional service to guests, handle cash register operations, and support store needs. You will work a flexible schedule, picking up shifts as needed, and be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and short-term training.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
• Create a welcoming experience for guests
• Engage with guests to solve their needs
• Be knowledgeable about store products and services
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time
• Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches and events
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs
• Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts
• Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
• Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stock supplies during store open hours
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
