Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $12.18 per hour on top of your hourly rate.
Pay range: $14.50 to $22.40 per hour

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive/productive environment, leading and developing store employees, recruiting and retaining talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment and partners with the Store Manager to meet financial goals.
Responsibilities include analyzing store financial statements with the Store Manager, committing to asset protection, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. This role involves working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including firearms (in FFL locations).
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assist as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, kneeling, etc.) in compliance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items in exterior storage.
