Position: Retail Sales Associate - Part time - 2215

Overview

We are currently looking for the right Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team.

$10.00 to $13.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.82 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution. They will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker/ Retail Sales Associate's pay is based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and offer appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Employees may be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
