• Maintain overall store cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store, prioritizing floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms.
• Ensure department hand wash sinks are stocked with paper towels, soap, and sanitizer.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris from flower beds, yard, and throughout the store.
• Use the H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles across all departments.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet food safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate maintenance needs, problems, and solutions to Store Leaders.
• Work with and around customers, attending to their needs and assisting with product location.
• Perform all duties of a Customer Service Assistant (CSA) when required.
• Work as an owner in a partner‑owned company, embracing commitment, hard work, and quality focus.

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Company Orientation, In‑store Orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, and basic HAZMAT/Chemical Safety certifications upon hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Strong initiative and willingness to complete tasks as they arise.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and work with customers effectively.
• Customer‑service oriented attitude.

• Constantly walk, reach at waist, grasp, push/pull with arms.
• Frequently bend, sit, stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements.
• Occasionally exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, manage over 50 lbs as needed, following safe lifting limits.
• Measurements:
  Constantly (5.5+ hours/8‑hour day), Frequently (2.5–5.5 hours/8‑hour day), Occasionally (0–2.5 hours/8‑hour day).
