Responsibilities
  • As Account Manager, you are responsible for the sales to INDUSTRIAL customers in the Americas.
  • You manage a wide and diverse portfolio of customers, from strategic (global) key accounts to specialized companies that require your high technical expertise.
  • You develop our position in the market segment by expanding our business at our existing customers and attracting new customers.
  • You are a true business partner for your customers thanks to strong market and application knowledge.
  • You prepare and follow up on customer contacts and work closely with your colleagues within and outside the sales department (marketing, supply chain, purchasing, …) to make sure you can meet the requirements of both the customer and Oleon.
  • You will work hand in hand with different departments within Oleon such as purchasing, production, planning, supply chain, sales, …
  • You will report to the General Manager of the sales affiliate.
Qualifications
  • You have an extensive experience with B2B sales to key lubricant, polymer & water treatment industry players.
  • You can provide us dialogues with key customers in the Industrials market through your elaborated network at these largest Industrials market players.
  • You have strong knowledge on product development, formulations (optional) and new market introductions & launches by/through working with these largest accounts.
  • You have above all key account manager expertise, resulting in commercial, market & technical know-how. You can provide feedback on market trends/R&D projects, through your market experience or communication with your elaborated network.
  • You have 10+ years of experience in sales & marketing in the Lubricant, Polymer & Water Treatment markets selling in a B2B environment and eager to close the deal, selling both products and solutions.
  • You have a degree in chemistry, biology, chemical engineering or equal by experience. You have a strong affinity with chemical processes and industrial applications.
  • You have a proven track record of superior sales achievements (e.g., 100% or more of sales targets, significant competitive wins, significant account growth, awards, etc.), partnering and developing business with strategic global key accounts.
  • You have excellent communication and people skills with a strong ability to communicate across a range of diverse cultures and corporate levels. You are proactive, business driven and result oriented.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment by working both independently and as part of a team meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • You have at least 8 years of direct experience in B2B sales in a relevant sector such as food, chemicals, heavy industrial …
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, self‑starter, dynamic and proven commercial and communication skills.
  • You are willing to travel 40% of your time overnight.
