Job DescriptionYou will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as chemical/petrochemical. As a security officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. The role includes conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, offering emergency response, and reporting hazards.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, including chemical and petrochemical areas, to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
- Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
- Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or containment as required by site protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and local laws; may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
