BAUER Equipment America is a leading global provider of foundation equipment and support to the foundation construction industry with offices and a dealer network across the United States. We are headquartered in Conroe, Texas and operate a facility in Livermore, California.
We are looking for a Customer Service Rig Technician for our Conroe, TX location. This position reports to the Director of Service.
Responsibilities- Receives customer service requests, assesses customer needs and equipment issues, diagnoses and suggests repair solutions to the manager or supervisor based on customer needs and resource availability; includes shop or field service repairs.
- Performs diagnoses and provides effective hands-on repairs.
- Researches and determines spare parts needs and suggests spare parts packages.
- Provides effective and efficient technical assistance, in person or by phone.
- Performs and/or assists with field and shop repairs.
- Coordinates service requests with appropriate Service departments and the manager/supervisor.
- Resolves product issues through identification, documentation, and communication with all affected parties.
- Assists in maintaining technical manuals and related service department files and office records.
- Follows operating and technical procedures and workplace instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Education and Training – High school diploma required;
Associate’s Degree in a mechanical, hydraulic or electrical machinery-related field or equivalent diploma is desired. - Technical Requirements – Proficiency in mechanical, electric and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Good communication skills and fluency in English. Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams, flow charts, maintenance schedules and other documentation. Willing to work overtime and on weekends or on-call; travel up to 80% (including internationally). Valid passport and driver’s license.
- Experience – At least 2 years of directly related training and/or experience.
- Physical requirements – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, see, read, hear, travel as required and comply with safety regulations; licensed (as required) to operate heavy machinery, automobiles, cranes, lifting equipment, computers and diagnostic equipment.
