JOB SUMMARY
The Apprentice Plumber assists licensed plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems. This position is designed to develop technical skills, job-site professionalism, and code knowledge through hands-on training and supervision.
JOB DUTIES
* Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems
* Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for job sites
* Cut, assemble, and install piping systems (PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, etc.) under supervision
* Perform basic plumbing tasks such as drain cleaning, fixture replacement, and leak repairs as skills develop
* Observe and learn proper diagnosis of plumbing issues and repair procedures
* Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and job-site regulations
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Hand tools and materials to lead plumber and anticipate job needs
* Assist with trenching, excavation, and pipe exposure when required
* Properly use and care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment
* Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Apprentice plumbers must have applicable certifications and licensing required by the state of Texas.
* Must have a valid drivers license.
