The Apprentice Plumber assists licensed plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems. This position is designed to develop technical skills, job-site professionalism, and code knowledge through hands‑on training and supervision.
Job Duties- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for job sites
- Cut, assemble, and install piping systems (PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, etc.) under supervision
- Perform basic plumbing tasks such as drain cleaning, fixture replacement, and leak repairs as skills develop
- Observe and learn proper diagnosis of plumbing issues and repair procedures
- Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and job-site regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Hand tools and materials to lead plumber and anticipate job needs - Assist with trenching, excavation, and pipe exposure when required
- Properly use and care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Apprentice plumbers must have applicable certifications and licensing required by the state of Texas.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
