Installation Technician, General Labor
We are a high-end residential and commercial low voltage custom integration company located just North of The Woodlands. We are seeking an Installation Technician to start immediately. This is a physically active position involving all aspects from prewire to trim out.
Responsibilities- General knowledge of basic hand tools, with proper and safe operation of those tools (tools to be provided)
- Ability to read basic construction and electrical plans
- Pulling low voltage wire (new construction and retro fit), according to basic designs and project manager or lead tech instructions
- Tone and Test cabling, be able to use a multi-meter
- Neat and legible labeling of wires and components according to company standards
- Experience with termination including RJ45, RCA, BNC, and other compression, crimp or solder on terminations. Fiber termination, installation, and splicing a plus
- General understanding of how to trim-out basic in-wall/in-ceiling speakers with or without pre-construction brackets, phone ports, data ports - I.E. RJ-45 jacks/ wires, and other basic equipment
- Ensuring items on given punch-lists are completed efficiently with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and neatly in client’s homes and businesses. Clean and acceptable appearance, courteous to peers & clients
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency for organization and quality of work
- Ability to work and communicate with other team members and take direction from team lead and project manager
- Assist other technicians with installations when needed
- Cleaning daily job trash, unneeded materials, etc. from the inside of the vans each day
- Familiarity with safety standards, construction site safety rules
- Equipment interconnection and cable routing
- Pre-wire and retro-wire standards and practices
- Basic troubleshooting of simple systems
- Completion of Pro Source University within the first year of employment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Highly detailed, organized, and multitask driven
- Familiar with desktop and mobile computing
- Applicant must be able to safely lift equipment weighing as much as 80 lbs regularly
- Must be able to work comfortably on ladders, lifts and in high places as well as in tight conditions such as attics, crawl spaces, equipment closets, and cabinets
- Clean driving record and background check
- Must be authorized to work in The United States

Compensation: $16.00 - $29.00 per hour
