Construction Manager; GF Divison B COMM Communications- Converse, TX

Overview

B Comm, a Primoris Company, is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee and manage telecommunications inside and outside plant construction projects. This role involves coordinating field operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Customer relations on job sites: communicate with field inspectors, Customer Agents, City staff / regulatory agency representatives, locate crews, public and private utility coordinators / locators, general public and residents.
• Escalate field issues to the Project Manager as needed and report progress.
• In-field OSP Activities – Construction Management: 98%+ of the role is in the field; provide a workspace at an office but primarily oversee projects in the field as an extension of the Project Manager (PM).
• Carry out and build in accordance with the schedule provided by the PM.
• Submit Construction Daily (Daily) or Daily Production Report (DPR) with all supporting documentation for each project, including daily submittals from crew foremen, PCM, and subcontractors.
• Arrange signage, door tags, white lining for locates, and other project preparation activities as dictated by PM.
• Submit utility locates and other construction sequencing data (e.g., daily street sheets).
• Submit traffic control requests and coordinate materials, consumables, flowable fill, and restoration materials; manage purchase orders/requests up to allowance thresholds.
• Prepare, organize, and submit all project-related submittals as requested by PM.
• Coordinate, create, and collect daily field Job Site Analysis forms and submissions.
• Manage crew health and safety on the job site daily.
• Enforce company policies and procedures on job sites for personnel management, field safety, customer policies and standards, and local regulatory standards.
• Adhere to production expectations and meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Regularly inspect field equipment, vehicles, and trailers; notify PM of immediate concerns; perform lockout/tagout as needed.
• Coordinate with HSE personnel for all incidents and follow company, customer, and regulatory protocols.
• Close out inspection gigs, resident complaints, and internal deficiencies promptly as directed by the B Comm team.

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical/trade school or 2-4 year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
• Prior construction leadership experience is an advantage.
