Accounting Clerk

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Join our team and make a difference! We're seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to keep our accounts payable, loan payments, and vendor records accurate and on schedule. In this role, you'll support the Senior Accountant and work closely with Property Managers and vendors.

• Accounts Payable: sort and distribute mail, complete the voucher process, obtain approvals, and issue and match payments
• Monitor and manage the accounting email inbox
• Maintain filing for EAF, loans, payable reports, checks, mail, and more
• SODA: produce the deposit listing report, then receive, process, and obtain approval for deposits, cut the check, and mail it
• Positive Pay: upload the report, review it, and approve or reject items
• Vendor Statements: review vendor statements and coordinate with the Property Manager and vendor to ensure accuracy
• Loan Payments: ensure ALL note payments are made on time by vouchering and processing billing notices, reviewing amortization schedules, updating the notes spreadsheet, and processing payment
• Vendor Insurance: review vendor insurance requirements for accuracy and perform the annual reconciliation each June
• Serve as backup for the Accounting Clerk role
• Complete all required training

• Monthly property financial review between the Property Accountant and Senior Accountant
• Weekly workflow meeting
• State of Engage annual meeting
• Availability for Executive financial review
