Position SummaryThe Center for Global Learning & Engagement ( CGLE ) is seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Global Welcome Coordinator
to assist in the day-to-day coordination of CGLE’s new international student orientation program and other international student support initiatives offered throughout a semester. This position will report directly to the International Student Services Coordinator and will work closely together to plan, coordinate, evaluate and improve the Global Welcome orientation program. This role is ideal for an upper-level college student (junior/senior/graduate) with a strong work ethic and demonstrated leadership skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Effective interpersonal communication, writing and organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with common goals as part of a team. Advanced experience with Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP , Apps Script) and Google Forms design. Proficient experience with Canva Pro
- Serve as the initial point-of-contact for newly admitted international students and assist in overseeing pre-arrival communications for the Global Welcome program.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of international student support programming and initiatives such as Global Welcome Orientation, Finding Your Place in the States, and International Education Week.
- Lead efforts in the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of Global Welcome Volunteers.
- Must be available to work during university breaks (summer/winter) along with some evenings and weekends during the regular semester.
- Other duties as assigned.
