Job SummaryThe Production Worker in the Skin Department plays a key role in supporting the construction process of trailers. This position involves attaching sheet metal fenders and wall trim, installing aluminum sheets, applying specialized tapes, caulking, and placing decals. Additionally, the role requires hooking up trailer lighting, while consistently adhering to high-quality control standards.
Responsibilities- Install aluminum sheets, specialized tapes, caulk, and decals with attention to detail.
- Attach fenders and wall trim to trailers.
- Hook up and test trailer lighting to ensure functionality.
- Consistently meet high quality and control standards throughout the production process.
- Learn and become proficient in other production roles, stepping in to assist other team members as necessary.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
- Proficient in working with tools including table saw, chop saw, radial arm saw, drywall screw gun, sawzall, stomp shear, sheet metal brake, and general hand tools.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to be on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Team‑oriented, professional, and eager to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of production quality.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safety rules.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Experience with tools such as drywall screw gun, table saw, jig saw, miter saw, and general hand tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, squat, walk, climb up and down ladders or scaffolding, stoop, and carry materials.
