Receiver​/Material Handler

Position Summary:

The Receiver / Material Handler is responsible for the handling and placement of materials needed within each department of the home building facility.

• Drive Forklift
• Provide Materials to plant
• Receive material that are delivered from vendors
• Check off deliveries by company material to packing slips
• Put materials in respective areas
• Responsible for getting materials to respective Departments in timely manner
• Rotate materials by date and delivery
• Check quality and state of material that is being received
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Previous construction or warehouse experience preferred
• Attention to detail and good communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
• Experience operating a forklift or forklift certification preferred, training available

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling. Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures. Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
