Maintenance - HVAC​/Refrigeration Technician

Maintenance - HVAC/Refrigeration Technician role at Conway Public Schools.

• High school or general education diploma
• Master or Journeyman license / Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification
• Boiler license preferred
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds or more
• Ability to climb all ladder sizes
• Ability to do routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying heavy items.
• Experience maintaining and installing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems

The contract length will be 240 days.

Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the maintenance supervisor.

The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)/Refrigeration Technician will endeavor to repair and maintain school facilities and grounds and establish a knowledge of maintaining building systems and grounds to provide a safe learning environment for the students and staff.

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Repairs and maintains the District facilities and property.
• Maintains facilities’ electrical systems, to include:
• HVAC systems installation and inspection;
• Kitchen equipment installation and inspection;
• Energy recovery systems and equipment controls installation and inspection;
• Low voltage installation and inspection.
• Uses the District work order system and District forms.
• Follows all Material Safety Data Sheet directions on all chemical products used by the Conway Public School District; uses proper labeling and follows all safety procedures.
• Willing to assist with other assignments given by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Ability to work and communicate with other Conway Public School District personnel and students.
• Other duties, as assigned.
