Tax Professional - Franchise

Overview

Join H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional. You’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment (or stated equivalent).
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone and chat).
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support; experience conducting complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).

• Salary range: $23.70 – $28.00 per hour (varies by role and experience)
