JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of designated administrator, advises students regarding Education Abroad opportunities and provides related program support. MUST BE A CURRENT CCU STUDENT.

Work Hours:

10 hrs. a week

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Educates students regarding study abroad opportunities including semester, short-term CCU sponsored programs and Third-Party Providers programs (Application Process, Deadlines, GPA Requirements Eligibility, General Financial Information, Course Approval Process)
  • Represent EA at tabling events, education abroad expo, in study abroad 101 sessions, and classroom presentations.
  • Assists with application review and contacts applicants as necessary.
  • Collects, catalogs, updates and distributes database information regarding study abroad programs.
  • Distributes information about the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) to students.
  • Performs office related duties as required.
  • Working some evenings/weekends may be required.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Interest in study abroad, preferred prior study abroad experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Knowledge of long term and short-term study abroad programs and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of social media.
