Residential Property Inspector

Sloan Home Inspections is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Licensed Home Inspector to join our growing team. In this role, you will conduct thorough residential property inspections throughout Horry County and surrounding areas, evaluating structural, mechanical, and safety components of homes and condos.

You will collect detailed inspection data, including photos and measurements, and prepare clear, easy-to-understand digital reports with findings and recommendations that empower clients to make informed decisions. This position is ideal for a professional who values integrity, strong written and verbal communication, and delivering high-quality service with a personal touch.

• Perform comprehensive residential property inspections in Horry County and surrounding areas
  , supporting buying and selling transactions.
• Inspect interior and exterior components, including:
  • Structural systems
  • Roofing
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing systems
  • HVAC systems
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, and walkable roofs.
• Utilize industry-standard tools and inspection software to collect accurate, detailed data
  , including photos, measurements, and videos.
• Prepare clear, detailed, and easy-to-understand digital inspection reports
  , organized by defects and overall property condition.
• Deliver reports accurately and within required time frames.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, real estate agents, and team members; explain findings, addressing questions with transparency, professionalism, and integrity.
• Collaborate with operations staff regarding scheduling, reporting, and workflow processes.

• Experience in conducting residential property inspections focusing on structural, mechanical, and safety components.
• Ability to utilize industry-standard tools and inspection software for accurate data collection, including photos, measurements, and videos.
• Proven track record in preparing clear, detailed and easy-to-understand digital inspection reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain findings to clients and real estate agents.
• Capability to safely access and inspect crawl spaces, attics, and walkable roofs.
• Experience in collaborating with operations staff to ensure smooth scheduling, reporting, and workflow processes.
