In the Medical Receptionist role, you will be:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm, professional and welcoming service.
- Managing digital triage queries and support customers in using new online systems.
- Handling enquiries, appointments, orders and samples efficiently and accurately.
- Providing day-to-day administrative support using internal systems, Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Calendars.
- Maintaining a calm and solution-focused approach when dealing with queries or challenging situations.
- Supporting the wider team with the smooth running of reception and administrative processes.
- Ensuring information is always recorded accurately and confidentially.
To be successful in the Medical Receptionist role, you will need:
- Previous reception and administration experience, ideally gained within a busy customer-facing environment.
- Confident IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly. EMIS experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with conflict calmly and professionally.
- A proactive and positive approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- A professional, approachable and reliable manner.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
This is a full-time temporary opportunity that will go permanent for the right person, working 37 hours per week. Shifts will fall between 8:00am and 6:30pm, with your exact working pattern varying depending on the rota.
The role is offering £13.30 per hour + holiday pay, along with a range of benefits and the opportunity to become an important part of a supportive local organisation.
