Recycling Delivery Driver

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Conwy to assist with the appointment of aRecycling Delivery Driver on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.05 - 16.88 per hour

Summary:

As a Recycling Delivery Driver you will support the Waste Service by delivering exchanging and collecting recycling containers and wheeled bins across the County Borough. The role involves manual handling driving council vehicles preparing recycling containers for reuse and providing an efficient customer-focused service while promoting sustainable waste management.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to service requests for new and replacement recycling containers and wheeled bins.
• Deliver exchange and remove wheeled bins recycling boxes and bags to residential and commercial properties.
• Safely load and unload wheeled bins and recycling containers onto and off council vehicles.
• Prepare wheeled bins and recycling containers for reuse by washing and cleaning them.
• Prepare damaged bins for disposal by removing wheels and lids and stacking materials appropriately.
• Ensure recycling containers are transported and delivered safely and efficiently.

Qualification:

• GCSE level education or equivalent

Essentials:

• Full valid UK Driving Licence
• Experience in a delivery driving waste environmental or manual handling role is desirable.
• Understanding of recycling sustainable waste management and environmental issues.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
