The Plant Manager provides leadership, direction, and management for all aspects of the plant's operation. This role is responsible for ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and achievement of site and business KPIs. The Plant Manager will lead a team including production, safety, logistics, and quality managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and implement an improving EHS Program to achieve zero safety/environmental incidents.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and PSM requirements.
- Lead adherence to the Quality Management System and improve the Quality Index.
- Support new product introductions and improve existing products in coordination with R&D.
- Improve plant quality and productivity while meeting trade working capital targets.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales to optimize On-Time Delivery.
- Achieve Manufacturing Expense Budget and implement cost-saving measures.
- Execute business and operations plans to meet revenue, profit, and performance targets.
- Manage and update long-term and short-term capital plans.
- Foster continuous improvement and engage with plant leadership and associates.
- Communicate plant needs and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of root cause analysis.
SKILLS:
- BS or MS in Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations and/or engineering supervision.
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, process engineering, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in team environments.
- Adaptability to change and ability to lead change.
- Experience with Lean/6 Sigma Manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
SKILLS:
- Experience in a PSM facility.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with enterprise systems and PC-based software.
Reports to the Operations Director for Consumer and Construction.
WORKPLACE TYPE:On-site (Manufacturing Plant Environment). Approximately 25% of time spent on the floor.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Less than 20%. Travel may be required monthly depending on business needs.
