Physician Recruitment Initiative Specialist

Summary:

Develops and maintains relationships with medical staff and targeted referral sources to drive incremental volume in services aligned with the hospital's strategic plan.

Reports to:

COO. FLSA:
Exempt.

• Earn enhanced referrals and loyalty through field efforts by initiating and maintaining face-to-face communication with targeted sources. Bring forward new business opportunities revealed through field interactions.
• Use scheduled personal meetings with targeted providers to uncover needs and deliver relevant and useful information specific to each provider. Includes meetings with key practice staff. Advance each relationship in order to ask for additional business.
• Arrange and facilitate introductions of new specialists to targeted referral prospects, clinical services, access points, educational programs and other events.
• Document each provider encounter to track activities, progress, trends and outcomes. Communicate trends in service, communications and operations barriers expressed by referral sources.
• Support onboarding of specialists and primary care physicians. With marketing, develop plans to support growth of employed physician practices.
• Work with leadership to develop and gain internal support for practice growth and referral development plans.
• Gather and maintain complete, accurate knowledge of clinical services and strategic offerings to develop sales messages.
• Serve as a source to organizational leaders to support operational and clinical business planning.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree –
  Required (Preferred unspecified in original text).
• Required Skills:
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• 3 years sales experience – healthcare environment preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with proven effectiveness in growing and developing credible relationships resulting in meeting sales goals.
• Clinical experience and strong understanding of healthcare industry preferred.
