Responsibilities- As the Account Manager II on the Commercial Lines team, support the Producer by servicing larger and/or more complex clients and serve as a resource/mentor to colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, legislative changes, and relationships with clients and carrier representatives.
- Exercise independent decisions related to client analysis of coverage, recommend coverage needs, and suggest new lines of coverage for existing clients where appropriate.
- Develop strong relationships with carriers and market accounts as requested by the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training
- Five years of relevant insurance industry experience
- Property and casualty insurance license
- Strong client-relations skills, with excellent communication, service orientation, cooperation, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
- Leadership ability to provide direction, feedback, development and training while motivating others to maximize productivity
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
- Advanced degree
- Certification or designation
- Experience with Requests for Proposal
