A candidate with strong experience in Construction projects and the willingness to travel to project sites will be strongly considered and interviewed. This is a Sr. Project Management position responsible for leading efforts on large projects or multiple projects simultaneously. All candidates must meet the following expectations and be able to work independently with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibilities /Accountabilities:- Strong leadership skills
- Lead and consult with field project managers, general contractors (GCs), and owners. Be responsible for nurturing successful relationships to ensure project success.
- Manage the pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process. Leverage strong relationships with GCs to grow the business.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Take ownership and accountability for projects.
- Solve complex problems related to schedule and budget as an active team member.
- Review and approve project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractors, to allocate resources effectively.
- Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts beneficial to the project.
- Manage project finances, including profitability and cash flow.
- Provide indirect leadership to construction crews.
- Participate in design conflict resolution, collaborating with engineers, architects, etc.
- Lead strategic planning, project submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Implement monthly cost reports and projections.
- Recognize and resubmit change orders as needed.
- Approve payment invoices from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.
- Skills with Bluebeam and Procore will be prioritized.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Manage CAD, fabrication, and field labor resources.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment by enforcing procedures and regulations.
- Direct responsibility for subcontractors.
- Indirect responsibility for B & K and subcontractor field personnel and support services.
- Direct responsibility for PEs and/or APMs.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Dependability and availability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment
- Organizational skills for documents and work orders
- Aptitude for learning new systems
- Mechanical knowledge
- Project management expertise
- Ability to train estimating staff on technical aspects
- Understanding of company resource capabilities and implementation in construction
- Professional vendor and supplier solicitation skills
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience/training; or equivalent
- Construction Management, Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years leading large, complex construction projects
Typical office environment and travel as needed.
