Job SummaryThe Business Unit Leader (BUL) will lead our sales team, develop business plans, meet sales goals, and coordinate marketing lead generation. You will track sales goals, set individual targets, and facilitate ongoing training and development of your salespeople.
Responsibilities- Drive the commercial strategy and partner with Branch Operations Manager to create EBITDA growth.
- Develop and execute a sales‑plan covering revenue, expense controls, and organizational sales.
- Set, track, and report on sales goals and individual targets.
- Oversee team performance, coordinate with marketing for lead generation, and provide continuous training.
- Motivate, counsel, and educate the sales team through product knowledge education.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and expand wallet share through independent and Territory Manager efforts.
- Travel with Territory Managers to engage customers and grow business.
- Ensure safety compliance, maintain a neat work area, and wear PPE as required.
- Represent Belt Power professionally at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in the belting industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Experience planning and implementing sales strategies.
- Experience managing and directing a sales team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Leadership ability and strong motivation to develop a sales team.
- Quick learner of new processes and systems.
- Reliability, integrity, accuracy, teamwork, positive attitude, organization, intelligence, proactivity, adaptability, passion, and sense of urgency.
- Strong prioritization and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Understanding of the outside sales process.
The Business Unit Leader may lift and move up to 50 lb and will perform manual tasks requiring dexterity and strength. Activities may include hand, arm, back, and shoulder movements, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Position Type and HoursFull‑time position (Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Frequent travel, overtime, and weekend work may be required.
Work EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment; noise level can be loud.
Pay Range$140,000 – $160,000 per year.
