Shift: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Duration: Mid-December – March
The General Assembler position will manually perform general labor as directed by the shift supervisor. Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and do not interrupt at inappropriate times. As an Assembler, you'll assist on building, inspecting, and packaging products to ensure they meet company quality standard.
Talking to others to convey information effectively. Monitor/assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Assemble parts or products according to work instructions and specifications
- Inspect and test finished components for quality and accuracy
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and efficiently
- Package, label, and prepare products for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Communicate any equipment issues or quality concerns to supervisors
- Perform general physical activities such as moving or fitting heavy objects, clean rooms and work areas and load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs. – 75lbs.
- Manage one's own time and the time of others
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
- Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities and materials needed to do certain work
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience helpful, but not required - training provided
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed during peak season
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
