Description
ResponsibilitiesThe staff nurse is a clinically competent registered nurse who has demonstrated expertise in operative, perioperative recovery, endoscopy, day surgery process.nursing. Effectively deliverscare to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Patient care may be provided to patients in all age categories based on assigned area of responsibility. This is a non-exempt position.
Qualifications- Current Georgia Nursing license-required
- CPR and ACLS-required
- Knowledge of nursing process and application including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, specific to patient population (i.e. pediatrics, adolescence, adult, and geriatric)
- 2-3 years experience in perioperative nursing pertinent to the specialty i.e., operative, perioperative recovery, endoscopy, day surgery process.
- Nurse with less than two (2) years may complete competency based orientation program with department preceptor
