The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements; functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care.
The LPN blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.

Education
- Graduate of an LPN program (Required)
Work Experience
- New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
- Demonstrated clinical competency in specialty area (Preferred)
- ACLS (Required if working in Emergency Department)
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Required if working in Emergency Department within 180 days)
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 days
