Staff Registered Nurse III – Day Surgery Overview

Operating Room at Piedmont Rockdale is an 8‑bed unit that covers surgical cases. The unit follows standardized operating procedures and equipment across the Piedmont System. Surgical cases include robotics, urology, gynecology, podiatry, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, eyes, and colorectal.

Full‑time, Days. Shift: 3 (12‑hour) 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM. Sign‑on bonus available.

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse functions within the framework of the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

• Minimum Education
  :
  Graduate of a nursing program.
• Minimum Experience
  :
  New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
• Licensure/Certification
  :
  Current RN license in Georgia or NLC/eNLC multistate license. BLS certification required.
• Additional Qualifications
  :
  One year of hospital nursing experience preferred for PRN positions;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty field, if applicable.
