Rockdale Medical Center
Description Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies of the organization. Will assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate the care of the intensive care patient.
Reports to:
Nurse Manager
FLSA:
Non-exempt
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit following the nursing process and organizational policies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for intensive care patients.
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - within 1 year
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
