About The JobThe Corporate Chef will track culinary trends, create innovative menu solutions, present new product concepts and support in the development and scale up of new products ensuring that all items and presentations meet both GSF’s and our customers’ standards.
What You ll Do- Develops new product prototypes and menu concepts for key accounts. These concepts meet the culinary and operational needs of each specific customer.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers’ product development & culinary groups.
- Present new concepts and menu ideas to customers at key accounts.
- Create formulas and manage information using the Optiva software system.
- Manage new projects at concept stage.
- Must be a highly organized individual able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to meet aggressive timelines.
- Tracks and keeps abreast of new culinary trends in the food service and retail marketplace.
- Cultivate a creative culinary culture within Golden State Foods
- Collaborate with sales counterparts to build account strategies to deliver and meet targeted growth objectives
- Perform other related and assigned duties as requested by the Director of Sales
WHAT YOU LL NEED
Culinary degree from a nationally accredited culinary school, preferred and/or CEC accreditation.
Experience10+ years of relevant restaurant work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience developing and presenting new menu ideas to QSR and Casual Dining Chains.
Skills/Abilities- Develop new products and menu items that meet our customer’s culinary standards
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal external customers verbally and in writing
- Read and process written information with a high degree of accuracy
- Work in a laboratory environment
- Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service.
- Create and adhere to project time lines
- Act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed
