CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC JR. MECHANICJOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.
- Assist in the servicing of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Use a variety of hand‑tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customers’ location.
- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Prepare for on‑site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on‑site work, as necessary.
- Inspect vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness.
- Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.
- Inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
- Determine parts to order for repairs and ensure timeliness of need.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintaining files.
- Record parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
- Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair.
- Read and interpret product specifications.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Have a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Be flexible to work overtime/weekends as necessary.
- Travel regularly, including some overnight travel, as needed.
