Apartment Maintenance Technician ($2,000 Sign‑on Bonus)

Join us at Elme Communities as a Service Technician in our Service and Asset Preservation Team. We are dedicated to maintaining the physical appearance, preventative maintenance, move‑in readiness, and ongoing service needs of our apartment communities.

• Deliver timely, clear and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems.
• Respond to service tickets swiftly, document and communicate service status, and prioritize requests.
• Build trust with residents through respectful and empathetic repairs.
• Monitor vacancies, schedule turnover, and initiate the make‑ready process.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safeguard equipment with regular tune‑ups.
• Conduct daily community walks to inspect cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal.
• Escalate urgent maintenance matters to leasing and customer experience teams.
• Contribute to team success by achieving individual and team goals.

• Passion for people and community.
• Proven work history delivering high‑quality maintenance services in residential apartments or similar industry.
• Well versed in HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Universal EPA/CFC or CAMT Certification.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Able to be on call and work outside standard hours, responding to life‑safety incidents within 30 minutes.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and life‑safety systems.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word) and industry‑specific management software such as Yardi.

The hourly range for this role is $22.39–$34.83 (subject to experience).

In addition to the base salary, you may be eligible for monthly and annual bonus programs, including leasing commissions, renewal bonuses, and spot awards.
