Description
PositionTravel Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN PRN
Pay$20 / hr – $35 / hr (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Job Details- Provide quality patient care and perform technical skilled care in patients’ homes.
- Assist home health aides and help them fulfill their responsibilities.
- Work as a Regional Travel Nurse, traveling within Central Tennessee.
- Deliver technical care, receive assignments and reports, and administer prescribed medication under RN supervision.
- Observe, record, and report all patient observations in progress notes; submit notes daily to the Patient Care Manager.
- Obtain complete reports on patients before visits and provide a thorough care summary afterward.
- Perform special procedures and treatments (e.g., IVs, NG tubes, blood draws) as instructed and supervised by an RN; documentation of competence is maintained in the personnel file.
- Immediately notify the Patient Care Manager and/or physician of any changes in a patient’s condition.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist home health aides and, when requested, assist RN or physician with specialized procedures.
- Participate in on‑call duties according to a rotating schedule.
- Must be willing to travel to other offices.
- Licensed in the state of operation.
- At least one year of nursing experience with complete knowledge of technical skills required for nursing procedures.
- Must successfully complete on‑site evaluations and competencies within 90 days of employment and bi‑annually thereafter.
- Understand hospice care concepts and serve as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
