Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

We have an excellent opportunity for aMotor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our workshop team at T J Hamilton & Co.

We are keen to hear from technicians from all backgrounds whether you currently work in a main dealership, an independent garage or are afinal-year apprentice looking for the opportunity to develop your career.

You do not need previous Volkswagen experience.Full manufacturer training will be provided , with the opportunity to progress through the Volkswagen training programme.

The Role

Working as part of our experienced workshop team, your duties will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Using modern diagnostic equipment
• Carrying out vehicle health checks and inspections
• Road testing vehicles where required
• Working to a high standard of quality and customer care

Who We're Looking For

We would be interested in hearing from:

• Qualified Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics
• Technicians currently working in independent garages
• Main dealership technicians looking for a change
• Final-year motor vehicle apprentices
• Technicians looking to develop their diagnostic and technical skills

Ideally, you will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or be currently working towards completing your qualification.

A full UK driving licence is required.

Previous dealership or Volkswagen experience is not essential.

Training & Career Development

We are committed to developing the right person. Volkswagen manufacturer training will be provided, including training atVolkswagen UK's National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes after a qualifying period.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
