Assistant Warehouse & Logistics Manager About the RoleAs an Assistant Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will support the effective day-to-day running of warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of materials to meet business and customer requirements. Working closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will help lead and develop a team of operators, drive operational performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, health & safety, and environmental performance, while contributing to audits, projects, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day management of warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of goods across the site.
- Champion a positive health, safety, and environmental culture, promoting best practice and compliance at all times.
- Assist in driving operational performance by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise resources.
- Build strong relationships with third-party logistics and transport providers to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Help maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, stock control, and warehouse utilisation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team operating within a fast-paced 24/7 environment, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), using data and insights to support operational improvements and business objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, Health & Safety, Facilities, and HR to deliver business goals.
- Support workforce planning activities, including shift rotas, payroll administration, and holiday management.
- Contribute to audits, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance warehouse and logistics performance.
