About the Role:
Our client in the Cookstown area are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of electrical packages on a range of projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and reporting to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage accurate cost plans and budgets for electrical installations Review and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement schedules Manage the measurement and valuation of electrical works Monitor project costs, prepare monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts Assist in contract administration, including risk identification and mitigation Prepare and issue subcontract orders in line with project requirements Liaise closely with project teams to ensure financial goals are aligned with delivery schedules Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to project managers and site teams Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and health & safety regulations Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to senior management Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline Strong knowledge of construction practices Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence (if role requires site visits) Willing to travel 2-3 days per month Benefits:
