Mid Ulster Projects:
Major construction projects throughout the UK Were working with an established construction business based in Mid Ulster that is continuing to expand its portfolio of large-scale, high-specification construction projects across the UK and Ireland. As part of growth, were looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership of the commercial side of significant projects and play a key role within the wider commercial and project teams.
This is an opportunity for an experienced QS who is comfortable working on major projects, managing subcontract packages and supporting project teams, with the scope to progress into a broader senior commercial management position as the business continues to grow.
The Role Youll have significant responsibility for the commercial management of projects fromprocurement through to final account, working closely with Contracts, Site and Design teams to maintain strong commercial control throughout. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the procurement and commercial management of subcontract packages Taking commercial ownership of projects from procurement through construction to final account Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports and CVRs Managing variations, change control and contractual entitlement Reviewing and managing subcontractor valuations and final accounts Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Working closely with Contracts, Site and Design teams Providing regular commercial reporting to senior management Supporting and working alongside wider commercial and project teams Maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle About You Were keen to hear from experienced Quantity Surveyors who have a strong main-contractor background and are ready to take the next step in their career.
Ideally, youll have: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Strong main-contractor experience Experience working on significant new-build construction projects Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Experience managing subcontract packages and final accounts Excellent negotiation and communication skills The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects The confidence to work with and support wider project and commercial teams A willingness to travel regularly to projects throughout the UK
Experience with in healthcare, nursing homes, hotels, residential or other high-specification developments would be advantageous, although this is not essential. Whats on Offer? £65,000 £ 75,000 salary, depending on experience Vehicle or car allowance Pension Bonus Travel and accommodation expenses covered Major projects across the UK Long-term opportunity within a growing construction business Genuine progression into asenior commercial management position This is a role suited to an experienced QS who wants responsibility, project ownership and the opportunity to progress, rather than simply managing a workload from the sidelines.
