Are you a Graduate CAD Technician or similar looking to develop your career in a specialist timber frame design role in a family-run company offering full training and progression to become a technical expert and fully qualified design engineer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, family-run timber frame manufacturer where you will be involved in the design phase of live construction projects, producing detailed drawings and plans that support the manufacture of timber frame structures.

• Producing detailed timber frame design drawings ready for production
• Interpreting client requirements during the design phase of projects
• Creating and amending technical drawings using AutoCAD and Sketch Up
• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and internal teams
• Ensuring drawings meet relevant specifications, standards and safety regulations
• Taking part in design and process reviews
• Receiving ongoing training to develop timber frame design knowledge

• Engineering or architectural graduate or similar
• Confident using AutoCAD
• Looking for training and development
• Sketch Up experience beneficial
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving ability
• Able to read and understand engineering or technical drawings
• Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
• UK driving licence and access to own transport
• Based within commuting distance of Cookstown
