Downey Osborne is excited to present a Financial Controller role with a growing multi‑site manufacturing business. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract offering the chance to lead the finance function, influence business performance, and make a real impact.

• 32 days holiday

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Experienced in financial management, ideally in a leadership role
• Confident with month‑end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
• Strong Excel and ERP skills
• Clear communicator who can influence senior stakeholders
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment

• Lead month‑end close, reporting, and KPIs
• Analyse variances and provide insight to senior leadership
• Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance
• Drive budgeting and forecasting

• Mentor and develop the finance team
• Support operational teams with costing and performance insight
• Manage cash flow, debt, and collections

• Lead external audits and liaise with auditors
• Improve systems and processes
• Participate in cross‑functional projects
• Travel to other sites as needed

• Work without reliable data
• Have to explain variances to a seagull
